First, Barack Obama plans to give American families a 1,000 dollar emergency rebate. Following up with this rebate he plans on giving atleast a thousand dollar a year rebate. This will eliminate taxes for an estimated 10,000 families. This plan will impact me and my family because it will provid more money to pay bills and to pay for essential needs. This relief is needed because of inflation in the country. Wages stay the same while prices of goods rise.

John McCain plans to lower taxes to help small businesses. He is going to give tax breaks to businesses, in hopes that they would invest in science, equipment and technology. McCain highly believes that people will invest in the future and science, if there are tax breaks for businesses. "John McCain will keep the top tax rate at 35 percent, maintain the 15 percent rates on dividends and capital gains, and phase-out the Alternative Minimum Tax." "American workers need the finest technologies to compete. Expensing of equipment and technology will provide an immediate boost to capital expenditures and reward investments in cutting-edge technologies." McCain's plans on taxcuts will not impact me because I do not own a small business. The tax cuts will benefit me in the future but not at the moment. Technology would eventually help me in the future, but right now it is more important to fix the economy.

John McCain has many programs that will be implemented. One of the main programs would be a summer gas tax relief that can save a possible $6.8 billion dollars in tax money. He seeks to start a HOME plan that would save 200,000 to 400,000 homeowners by providing "robust, timely and targeted help to those hurt by the housing crisis". He would also provide a student loan continuity plan for college students who need a possible loan from their own state's guarantee agency. He also wants to "raise the personal exemption for each dependent from $3,500 to $7,000" for middle class families. McCain seeks to cut the corporate tax from 35% to 25% so that the United States would be a more attractive place for foreign companies to invest in.
